Kapitel 25 Yondalla
“Schmeiß die Samen irgendwo hin, es wächst einfach. du brauchst absolut nichts zu tun. Kein Schimmel holt die Ernte, die blätter sind weder gelb noch sonstigen. Der größte Narr könnte hier ein erfolgreicher Bauer sein.”

Yondalla wird geographisch von den Gebieten des Kaiserreiches und den Nachtbergen begrenzt.
Das Kaisereich grenzt durch die Region “Grenzland” und “Herzland” an. Yondalla, mit der Hauptstadt Yonda zählt zu den am dicht besiedelesten Länderein überhaupt und übertrifft sogar Eldrische Verhältnisse in diesen Belangen.
Die zahlreichen Flüsse welche aus der Nachtberge Gebirgskette entspringen, schwemmen wertvolle Nährstoffe in die Böden von Yondalla. Dadurch erreicht Yondalla einen deutlichen Nahrungsüberschuss, welcher durch das Protektorat des Kaiserreiches nun auch nicht mehr Banditen oder den zahllosen Überfällen von Goblinstämmen in die Hände fällt.

Die Bevölkerung Yondallas besteht, neben der Abwesenheits von Orks, aus Halblingen und Menschen. Die Bevölkerung Yondallas lebt in einer Verhältnismäßig freien Gesellschaft. Dadurch kommen unterschiedliche Religionen zusammen und ein gewisser Schmelztigel der Bräuche kann dadurch im Tal der Nachtberge beobachtet werden.
Wirtschaftlich, durch die sehr fruchtbaren Ländern, gut ausgestattet, fehlt es hingegen an höheren Verarbeitendenden Gewerben, welche sich mit den gewieften Geschäftsleuten und Handwerkern des Kaiserreichs erst langsam etablieren. Derweil besteht die Rolle der befriedeten Region als Nahrungsmittel und Alchemiezutatenlieferant. Weitaus weniger bedeutend ist die Erzgewinnung. Seltenere Metalle wie Gold und Silber werden zwar vielfach vermutet, jedoch war es Aufgrund der Widrigkeiten der Nachtberge bis jetzt nicht möglich diese Schätze zu heben. Goblins, harsche Winter und Überschwemmungen der Stollen sind, neben reizbaren Schratgärtnern herausforderungen welche private Unternehmer nur ungern auf sich nehmen, zumal ein eklatanter Mangel an brauchbaren und Gebirgsgängigen Söldnern vorherrscht.
Das Kaiserreich versprach jedoch vor einigen Jahren die Nachtberge vernünftig zu erkunden und Bergwerke zu etablieren, jedoch kam es bis jetzt 426 n. R. zu keinen relevanten Vorhaben.
25.1 Ortschaften der Region
25.1.1 Yonda
Die Hauptstadt Yondallas stellt Yonda dar. Errichtet auf dem “Fels des Titanen” , eine große, rund 30 Meter hohes Felsplateau aus Granit durch das sich der “Nachtfluss”, ein Zubringer des Reik Flusses gegraben hat, bietet es Schutz vor den Überschwemmungen im Frühling, einen sicheren Rückzugsort vor Goblins, welche kaum durch das Granit Stollen schlagen können, sowie auch Schutz vor den jagenden Orkstämmen, welche bis vor wenigen Jahrzehnten noch reale Schauergeschichten für die Halblinge Yondallas darstellten. Yonda selbst hat eine blühende Gesellschaft an Nahrungsverarbeitenden Gewerben, sowie eine ideale Transportmöglichkeit zu Schiff Richtung Civis Primae.
Seit der Besetzung durch das Kaiserreichs, welche von der Bevölkerung im allgemeinen als “tolerierbar” bezeichnet wird, ist die Sicherhiet vor Orks, zumindest in den größeren Siedlungen der Halblinge gegeben.

25.1.2 Alla
Die Zweitgrößte Stadt Yondalla’s und Ursache für den zweiten teil der Namensgebung der Region liegt die Stadt Alla weitaus näher an den Nachtbergen und stellt so wie Yonda sehr viele Nahrungsmittel bereit welche über den Illond, der zweitgrößte Zubringer der Reik, per Schiff nach Civis Primae transportiert werden können. Besonders Zeichnet sich Alla durch Verhältnismäßig vielen Stationierten Legionären, so wie einer militärisch organisierten und ausgebildeten Truppe an Halblingen aus. Die von den Legionären veräppelte “Kindertruppe” konnte durch gezielte Aktionen zumindest ihren Reichtum gegenüber hungrigen Orks und hinterlistigen Goblins lange Verteidigen, was in einer “militarisierten” Stadt mündete.
Gewerbe bilden die Armbrusterein und die Bogenwerke sowie wirtschaftlich am relevantesten die Nahrungsgewerbe, sowie wie den “Besten Konditoren und Bäckern der Welt”. Ich selbst vermag dies zu bestätigen, nichts geht über einen Nachtstollen nud frischer Sahne mit Blick auf die Hänge der Nachtberge an einem klaren Sommerabend

25.1.3 Ollian:
Die Stadt an der Grenze zum Herzland des Kaiserreiches betreibt historisch schon lange mit Menschen handel und verkauft, mit Gewinn, Nahrungsmittel welche über die sich vereinigenden Flüsse Odrian, Ovian und Obuskus in Ollian einfinden.
Neben einer kleinen aber gut ausgebildetendten Steinmetz und Schiffsbauer Zunft, besticht Ollian durch drei wie “Der Dreck auf meinen Stiefeln nach der Feldarbeit” charismatischen Zwergenfamilien, welche die Geschicke der Stadt lenken.
Marmorbergbau stellt die, neben den typischen alchemistischen und Verzehrbaren Gütern eine weitere Säule dar und wird, aufgrund der Prunksucht in Civis Primae seit der Besetzung massiv ausgebaut, zum Leidwesen der für derartige Arbeit ungeeigneten Halblinge.

25.1.4 Infrastruktur
Yondalla ist durch die Flüsse aus den Nachtbergen geprägt. Diese bilden ideale Wege für den raschen Transport von Nahrungsmitteln. Die Wege sind für gewöhnlich weniger sicher als die flüsse sind jedoch zumindest auf den relevanten Städten mit Marktkarren und Doppelpferdekutschen befahrbar.
Fährern bilden die historische Flussüberquerungsmethode, werden jedoch nach und nach, durch Maßnahmen des Kaiserreiches durch Brücken ersetzt.
25.2 Die Geschichte der Region
Es ist nicht genau bekannt wie lange Yondalla bereits besiedelt ist. Geschichten reichen bereits zahlreiche Jahrhunderte zurück und kommen womöglich den Rah-Kari nahe.
Landwirtschaft hat sich bereits früh etabliert. Mildes Klima, trockenere Sommer, gute Böden ermöglichten die Körperlich schwachen Halblingen sich in allerlei Landbau zu spezialisieren.

Konflikte gab es früher mit Orks, welche Halblinge gern verspeisten, sowie mit den ansäßigen Goblinstämmen welche Chaos über die Länderein brachten während die Speicher und felder geplündert wurden.
Militärisch konnte sich Yondalla nie behaupten und erst Kooperationen mit dem Kaiserreich ermöglichten eine etwas friedlichere Zeit und die Zurückdrängung der Goblin und Orkstämme. Seit der Annexion durch das Kaiserreich, offiziell als Protektorat dargestellt, haben sich die wirtschaftlichen Bedingungen verbessert und werden dadurch von dem guten Tei lder Bevölkerung toleriert.
Unabhängigkeitsbewegungen gibt es dadurch nur in den ärmeren Regionen entlang dem Fluss Perla und Vohra.
25.3 Wirtschaftliche Lage
Yondalla ist wirtschaftlich äußert gut aufgestellt und die letzte Hungersnot liegt über 340 Jahre zurück - man bedenke- trotz der Überfälle von Goblins und dem Schrecken der Orks.
Handwerklich zwar weniger begabt als die Zünfte des Kaiserreichs, oder die geschickten hände der Elfen, profitiert Yondalla von dem Austausch mit dem Kaiserreich.
Primär werden Nahrungsmittel in unterschiedlichsten Formen exportiert. Erzabbau deckt bei weitem nicht die eigenen Bedürfnisse. Entwaldung der letzten Jahrhunderte lässt langsam die Holzpreise steigen.
Export alchemistischer Güter war inbesondere in Kriegszeiten des Kaisereichs äußerst lukrativ. In Friedenszeiten ist es ein brauchbarer Nebenverdienst für die Yondallschen Bauern.
25.3.1 Die Ressourcen der Region

Historically, the region faced conflicts with Orcs and Goblin tribes, but cooperation with the Empire has brought relative peace and prosperity. It is rich in marble, which, along with its food exports, contributes to its economic strength.
Overall, Yondalla’s resources include fertile lands, ample food supplies, alchemical products, and marble, making it economically prosperous and self-sufficient.
25.4 Soziopolitische Lage
Yondalla is a region with a unique sociopolitical landscape, shaped by its diverse population and historical interactions with neighboring territories. Yondalla’s proximity to the Empire has led to a complex relationship with its powerful neighbor. The Empire’s presence in the region, especially after the annexation, has brought both benefits and challenges. Many view the Empire’s control as “favourable” due to improved security against Orcs and Goblins and the increase in economy, however there are ongoing discussions within many circles of halflings regarding the degree of autonomy Yondalla should have within the Empire’s framework.
The region’s cultural richness is evident in its religious practices, where temples of various deities peacefully coexist. Yondalla’s festivals, arts, and cuisine reflect the vibrant fusion of Halfling exuberance and human flair.
Celebrating their differences while preserving individual identities, the people of Yondalla understand that embracing diversity fosters unity and strength. Their sociopolitical situation reflects a commitment to cultural exchange and cooperation, making the region a thriving example of harmonious cohabitation.

25.6.1 the river ghosts from the Nachtbirge
One of the many rumors that circle through the towns of Yondalla are that of the river ghosts from the Nachtbirge. It is known that many of the rivers originate from the mountains north of Yondalla and that they are a big part of the infrastructure in Yondalla, however the rivers are also known for haunting tales of ghosts who drift like whispers in the rivers. Within the folklore of the region, these creatures are said to be the souls of the departed, returning from the other side to serve justice to the vile that use the rivers of Yondalla.
Legends abound, each tale more captivating than the last. Some say that these ghostly entities are guardians, ever-watchful sentinels of the rivers’ sanctity. Others believe they are the spirits of lost loved ones, returning to provide guidance and protection to those they left behind. But one think that the people of Yondalla can agree on is that there has been many people who have gone missing in the rivers and dispearing under mysterious circumstances.
25.6.2 The Elusive Night Mountain Treasures
Whispers circulate among locals about ancient treasures hidden deep within the treacherous Night Mountains. Legends speak of forgotten riches, including rare metals, gemstones, and artifacts waiting to be discovered. Many adventurers have set out in search of these elusive treasures, but the harsh challenges of the mountains and the cunning goblins protecting the secrets have deterred all but the most determined.
Some legends speak of a singular treasure, a jewel of unimaginable beauty and power that is said to lie at the heart of the Night Mountains. Known as the “Heart of Radiance,” it is believed to be a rare gemstone imbued with the very essence of fire and people say it is the reason why Yondalla’s climate is what it is today. Some say that the gem was found by group of dwarfs who made a stronghold around the gem ones it was found and that they have managed to harness and bend the power of fire to their will.

In the intriguing tales of Yondalla’s legends, one rumor weaves a tale of a great painting that memorize and captures a part of who ever’s soul that dare to look at it. The painting’s image is as haunting as its reputation. It portrays a woman of exquisite beauty. Clutched in her elegant hand is a piece of paper, upon which cryptic symbols dance like whispers of forgotten languages. Yet, it’s not the artistry that makes the painting notorious, but the unsettling stories that surround it.
The painting has a peculiar habit of appearing and disappearing at seemingly random intervals. It is said to surface in the most unexpected of places – abandoned buildings, remote groves, and even within the chambers of Yondalla’s most esteemed scholars. Those who chance upon it recount an eerie sensation, as if the woman’s eyes hold a gaze that pierces through the very soul. It is said that gazing upon the painting carries a heavy price. Those who lock eyes with the painting are said to have maddening spiral of visions, dreams, and delusions and with time their sanity leaves them.
Yet, within the depths of this madness, there is an allure that draws the curious and the ones seeking wisdom. For those who have set their eyes on the painting, will they gain knowledge beyond the confines of human understanding. Some of the victims of the painting have manage to further Yondalla’s science or culture by bringing ave inspiring new ideas to the world.
25.7 Sehenswürdigkeiten
25.7.1 the dancing lights of Alla
The Dancing Lights of Alla are an enchanting phenomenon that has become an integral part of the city’s identity. During festive celebrations and special occasions, the night skies above Alla come alive with a mesmerizing display of iridescent lights that look like they are dance in harmony, captivating the hearts of all who witness the spectacle.
The origins of the Dancing Lights are steeped in legends passed down through generations. According to local folklore, it is believed that these ethereal lights are not merely the result of mundane fireworks or pyrotechnics but are a manifestation of something much deeper and mystical.
The tales speak of an ancient pact made between the founder of Alla and the spirits who protected the lands before they settled the area. Legends say that the spirits made a deal with the halflings, in which they could settle the land if they were to entertain spirits that had become bored of their mondane life. The Halflings of Alla agreed to their request and ever since the inhabitants have been sending lights into the night sky when they celebrated so that the spirits can take form and dance and celebrate with them.
25.7.2 the blossoms of Eltri Flowers
Nestled within the heart of Yondalla lies the captivating Eltri Forest, a forest that harbors a truly ephemeral spectacle – the Blossoms of Eltr.These exquisite flowers, known to bloom with radiant grace, adorn the forest twice a year, aligning their brief existence with the longest and shortest days. As the longest day of the year dawns, the forest comes alive with a vibrant display of colors. The Blossoms of red Eltri flowers, with a dark crimson shades can be found throughout the magnificent forest, drawing both sightseerers and alchemists looking for the flower.
As the shortest day of the year approaches, a second blooming occurs. This time, the forest is cloaked in the winter’s cold touch. sprouting up from beneath the snow, the blossoms emerge once again. These time however, they bare a bold blue tone, reflecting the cold season of winter.
Yet, their beauty is a fleeting gift. The Blossoms of Eltri last for one single day, their existence as transient as the seasons themselves. As the sun’s arc traces its path across the sky, these wondrous flowers share their magnificence, only to wither away with the setting of the sun. The blossom of the Eltri flowers have woven themselves into Halfling culture and they symbolize the the shortening and lengthening of the year.
